This is one of 14 images of Gen. Douglas MacArthur arriving at Nichols Field on the 2nd July 1946 for the Philippine Independence Ceremonies. Together with Lt. Gen. W. D. Steyer, in some pictures, he is reviewing the honor guard composed of men from the 86th Division. In one picture the General and wife are stepping down from their plane “Bataan”.
