These first 5 pictures in this album were obtained by John Duresky and he said this on 31. Jan 2023:
Hi Karl, I just got this Wirephoto on EBay. It was dated Dec 1, 1941, which was Nov 31, 1941, in Pearl Harbor, so exactly one week before Pearl Harbor and the Philippines were attacked. I haven’t found it anywhere else online. It began showing up in newspapers after the war started such as the attached newspaper dated Dec 14, 1941.
You’re welcome to use this photo. Also, the current Philippine Military Academy doesn’t seem to have an email address. Perhaps you could call them here to see if they might like a digital copy. I’m wondering if any of the cadets in the photo could possibly be identified. Tel. Phone #: (074) 442-5520 (074) 447-3690 3690 https://www.pma.edu.ph/about.php

In connection with Baguio Military Academy images above, John Duresky sent me these three (3) related pictures and said this:
Attached is Chester Britt’s page from the Philippine Scouts Heritage Society. Chester graduated from West Point on June 11, 1940. He and 21 other men from that class went to the Philippines that fall, of those 10 died as POWs or in combat. Attached are the memorials to the two Filipinos from that class in our book. Best regards, John
John Duresky is the researcher of the writing team of the new book “Relentless Hope: A True Story of War and Survival, by David L. Britt”. I have helped him out with some information and John Duresky is sharing almost all his finds with me. Thank you very much, John.
