Ze609. This is the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) office building in the DAV Park but nobody was there. A park attendant told me there were seldom people in that office.

Ze595. The entrance to the DAV Park in Honolulu from Nimitz Hwy, there is road construction work going on right now. There is a better entrance from the Keehe Lagoon Beach Park.

Ze599. This is the tall Obelisk in the Honolulu DAV Park honoring the Disabled American Veterans and especially the veterans from these two legendary WWII Units, the 442nd REGIMENT and the 100th Infantry Battalion, which were manned by mostly Japanese Americans.

Ze598. This picture shows the bottom of the DAV Park Obelisk and a board with names of people that helped establish this DAV Park. I’m sure most of the contributors are veterans of the 442nd REGIMENT and the 100th Infantry Battalion.

Ze597. This grassy area west of the DAV Park Obelisk is named in honor of Stanley M Tanaka.

Ze596. This is the entrance to the DAV Park in Honolulu from Nimitz Hwy, there is road construction work going on right now, maybe that is why there is water on the road. Many of the parts of the DAV Park are named after American Veteran Heroes like this drive way after the well-known Senator Dan K. Inouye.

Ze593. This is one of two machines at work for HART (the Honolulu Rail Project), this one is just east of the Makalapa Gate. They lift pieces into place and advance by extending to the next Pile-Foundation. We have been here a month and the machine doesn’t seem to move or it is just creeping along. This is one of three images shot on the 7th Oct. 2019.
