To book your tour in Corregidor, please read the description properly.

Prior to the pandemic in 2020, SUN CRUISES INC. used to handle all Corregidor-related tours. But on May 16, 2020, Sun Cruises Inc. permanently closed its doors. So with this, there were some changes in booking a trip to Corregidor.

  1. All tours are now directly handled by Corregidor Foundation Inc. (CFI) -the sole facilitator of the island.
  2. Overnight tours are suspended as the hotel in Corregidor is still closed.
  3. Tours are not every day. There are no fixed dates. Tours may be canceled if there are not enough passengers.
  4. There are 3rd party tour organizers, but most of them are located in Bataan as it is closer to Corregidor. If you want to take a ferry in MOA, then you have to rely on Corregidor Foundation Inc.(CFI).
  5. 3rd party tour organizers are usually cheaper as they don’t need to pay for any ferries to and from Manila. Bataan is just 4.8km away from Corregidor via a smaller boat.

Now, to book your tours with CFI please do the following:

  1. Corregidor tour DATES are not posted online or anywhere else. You have to ask them directly. With this, you have three options to contact them:

–Call them at +632-88233281

–Leave a message on their website , click here:

–Email them at info@corregidorisland.com.ph

  1. If you agreed on a specific date, they usually ask for your name, DOB, address, contact number, and the date of your tour. These details must be sent to their email. (Don’t expect any automated system, forms, or any electronic booking system.)
  2. They will ask you to pay for the full amount of ₱4,500 ($80) on their Landbank account.
  3. Once you’re paid, just wait for their reply with your booking confirmation and a photo of your official receipt.
  4. No more extra charges throughout the tour, except for the terminal fee at MOA for ₱30.
  5. Address of the terminal is ESPLANADE SEASIDE TERMINAL, SEASIDE BLVD., MALL OF ASIA COMPLEX. This is right beside Vikings Restaurant.
  6. Be at the terminal at 5:30AM. Bring drinks and extra clothes. Expect to be back in Manila at 4:30PM. THE RATE FOR THE DAY-TRIP TOUR IS ₱4,500 ($80) PER HEAD, INCLUSIVE OF FERRY RIDES, LUNCH BUFFET, AND ALL OF THE ATTRACTIONS.

Here are the screen shots.

Zg327.  For large groups visiting Corregidor Island, at least for this one. It departed from the terminal ESPLANADE SEASIDE TERMINAL, SEASIDE BLVD., MALL OF ASIA COMPLEX. This is right beside Vikings Restaurant.

Zg328.  The familiar Sun Cruises Corregidor Trolley’s are still available, CFI sold some but 3 to 4 Trolleys are still on the island.

Zg329.  At Topside on Corregidor Island, on the Parade Ground of the former Fort Mills the flags were flying.

Zg330.  The brand new dining, coffee and multipurpose hall at the Former MacArthur Café on Corregidor Island near the Gen. MacArthur stature was used for the lunch buffet.

Zg331. It seems some military visitors organized their own Corregidor visit (April 2023) and tied-up their special crafts to the famous Lorcha Dock were Gen. MacArthur departed from in March 1942 with a heavy heart for Australia to organize his return to the Philippines and the defeat of Japan per repeated orders of President Roosevelt.

Aguinaldo Proclamation of Independence Document Restoration

The Gen. MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk sent out this request on the 27th June 2023.

Hey everybody,

Last spring, the MacArthur Memorial’s Aguinaldo Proclamation of Independence took second place in the Virginia Association of Museums contest for a restoration grant. Since then, we have been raising money for the restoration of this unique historical document.  We are almost half-way there.  Please follow the prompt that will take you to our website and explanation of the significance of the Proclamation.  If you can help us in any way, we will be most appreciative.

Thanks,

Jim Zobel

Note from Karl: I read the article and was disappointed that there was no comment on the current sad affairs of visiting the island; No Scheduled Tours, Expensive Boats from Bataan, No transportation on the Island and very, very little accommodations for overnight visits.
