#S18 to #S21 images show the small existing road connecting to the Olongapo-Zambales Highway; also called the Olongapo-Bugallon Rd. which now it seems is going to be part of the Barretto Bypass Road. This road construction sign was posted at the beginning of the small existing road. #S20 image was shot on the 22nd of March and is from my friend Carlito. So if you drive to Olongapo you should be able to see this view, the road cut going up Kalaklan Ridge.

Earthwork has been going on top of Kalaklan Ridge, above Barrio Kalaklan; a friend reported that he saw a road cut from the Olongapo-Zambales Highway. I tried to find it and did. It is the other end of the Barretto Bypass Road! Walked it down, then back up and then tried to find a trail where I had seen a motorcycle using it a few weeks ago. Well, it connected to this new bypass road cut. This is just a short section of the future bypass road, so it will be a long time before it is finished.

#S08 to #S17 images show my walk down the new Barretto Bypass Road cut from the top of Kalaklan Ridge down to the Olongapo-Zambales Highway as it runs thru Barangay Kalaklan. The pictures are in sequence but some of the shots are views back or down the side of the hill.

#S23 image is a view up the Kalaklan Ridge and we see that in about ½ Km length the Kalaklan Ridge road was widened.

#S24 to #S26 images are 3 shots, left to right over looking Barangay Gordon Heights, Olongapo City and Subic Bay and we see the new Barretto Bypass Road going left and the Kalaklan Ridge Road continue at right towards Subic Bay.

#S27 & #S28 images are about my final task which was to explore the trail I had seen before with a motorbike being able to come up here. Well, it turned out that about half way down it joined the Barretto Bypass Road and it seems the earth mover had cut the path for some distance.
