The mouth of the Baquilan River became a lake.
The river bed of the Bucao River rose and blocked the Baquilan River discharge and so the Lahar built up and this lake was formed. The people living or working in the Botolan Lahar Field got to cross the river /lake in a fording manner. Left, we are looking up the Baquilan River; right is the Buakok River Valley where the new Tarlac Road is being built now.
