Zd271. 111-SCA-Album_2968_031. This imge did not have a readable description but is in sequence with all the other Battle of the Villa Verde Trail and 32nd Division combat images. Note from Karl: I’m sure we are looking in a SW direction where the Villa Verde trail comes from, in San Nicolas, Pangasinan. The photographer is somewhere under the Salacsac Passes, in back of him.

Zd255. -This is an image from NARA, a collection of about 150 images about the Battle of Villa Verde, half of the images are only the descriptions. In this 2nd segment of 8 pictures the descriptions are so bad that I will not post them and just interpret them as best I can.
111-SCA-Album_2968_019. The description of this image is unreadable. In my opinion we are looking to Yamashita’s Ridge, Mount Imugan, refer to the map, presented earlier in this album. This weapon and crew obviously give fire support on the Villa Verde Trail.

111-SCA-Album_2968_017. The description says: Pfc. Wayman N. Ramply, left and Cpl. Perry Rowe, operate a 30-caliber heavy machine gun of the 127th Infantry Regiment supporting other element of their regiment on the Villa Verde Trail in the mountains Santa Maria and Santa Fe. Note from Karl: Barrio Santa Maria East is the last barrio in Pangasinan, belonging to San Nicolas Municipality, where the Villa Verde Tail starts.

111-SCA-Album_2968_029. The description of this image is almost unreadable. I think, it writes about the road of the Villa Verde Trail. Note from Karl: This is a classic view of the Villa Verde Trail today, or better the new highway being built from Pangasinan to Nueva Vizcaya. The view is about 2 to 3 km up from the Pangasinan side and the view is back onto the Pangasinan Plain. Referring to the earlier map in this album, down in front runs the Cabalisian River from left to right and that is the area of Santa Maria. Today there are a Santa Maria East and West.
