The battle of the Villa Verde Trail lasted from Feb. to May. 1945. All the Filipino helpers came from the Pangasinan side. Even today, the official name of the San Nicolas high school is the Red Arrow High School. The 32nd Inf. Div. must have had a big impact on San Nicolas during the war.
