Note from Karl: I’m sure we are looking in a West direction where the Villa Verde trail comes from San Nicolas, Pangasinan. The photographer is on the Caraballo Mountains Spur; the Salacsac Passes and Yamashita Ridge, actually Mt. Imugan would be to the right of the photographer.

Zd289. -111-SCA-Album_2968_053. Filipinos repair the Villa Verde Trail. Note from Karl: I believe the photographer meant to say Filipinos help to repair the Villa Verde Trail. The battle of the Villa Verde Trail lasted from Feb. to May. 1945. All the Filipino helpers came from the Pangasinan side. Even today, the official name of the San Nicolas high school is the Red Arrow High School. The 32nd Inf. Div. must have had a big impact on San Nicolas during the war.
